Work in Progress

This is as the title says a work in progress. The original image I found in a porn magazine that my boyfriend gave me to draw from. I'm not sure what words I'm going to add to the scroll yet, and I know that I have to add some other elements to it, I'm just not sure yet how it's going to evolve. I'd love some feedback please

I love Comic books!!

The following works are based on some panels in a couple of my favorite comicsThis I did only today. The first drawing I did while with Max at his place, and then today I transferred it to a board and did it in full color. The color is done in markers and the black background is done with this paint called Plaka. I love and swear by this stuff. This is from a panal from the comic, Sandman, by Neil Gaimon. I made this to put up in my dorm.

this I did a while ago but I only just took pictures of it this morning. I did all this in just one hall, taking up possibly a grand total of four hours. I did it in my pen markers and more plaka. This is a drawing I did from one of the panals in the comic, Johnny the Homicidal Maniac by Johnan Vasquez.

By the way, for anyone that wants to read up on the artist behind the screen, you can read my blog at www.mackyourmouth.blogspot.com

more drawings...

Yeah so I've been drawing again. And here are the amazing results
Above is a drawing that I did based on one of the characters form Johnny The Homicidal Maniac. This epic character is called Mr. Fuck, and I drew this for my boyfriend Max when I was spending a few weeks with him. It's all in Graphic pens and black marker.
This rose is a painting that I did from a photograph. The tomes are actually a bit darker then that but my camera only picked up what you see here. If I had Photoshop at the moment then I could fix them, but alas I had to wipe and redo my computer in and out. I did it with Derwent Water Color pencils on a white bourd.
The above is a digital painting of the painting above. This is the very reason that I love Photoshop because I can take a painting or other already good piece of art and improve on it to make another piece of art. The poem that is in the middle of this is actually a poem that I write to someone special. Don't bother trying to read it because most of the words are not visible enough to read. I did this on perpouse because the words are rather personal in nature.
This is from a photograph that I took, and then manipulated in photoshop. I made it as a desktop for my laptop, so it is in Widescreen format. The words in the corner are from a Billy Idol song. I can't remember the name of teh song to tell you, but if ure curiouse just drop a line and I'll be sure to let you know.

Even more drawings! The James Jean collection:

Aaaaahhhhh!!!! I'm finally drawing just because I can again! It's been so long since I've done that, I just haven't been able to get any kind of inspiration or drive to draw on my own. In fact the past while, it's felt more like a chore than the outpouring of soul and imagination that it used to be. But I feel it again, and my god I love it! Maybe it was getting that tattoo, I mean, I started doing all these drawings that weekend. In fact I drew each of what you see here the Sunday of that weekend. I don't know why but ever since that weekend I just want to draw so much more then ever.

I call this the James Jean collection because the basic images are all from James Jean drawings. I had to choose a favorite artist to draw in my sketchbook and James Jean is amazing, So I looked up his stuff and took a basic person or element from some of his drawings and made it my own.

NONE of these are traced, this is me just looking at what he had done and drawing it myself in my sketchbook. This first drawing is my favorite. The original image had her arm going around that of a boys, but he seemed so bland in comparison that I found myself getting bored drawing him, and wanted her to be the main focus, so I just edited him out with my brains version of photoshop and made her the only one in the image. This next one originally had a broken down man clutching to poor Lady Lucks dress, but that I decided to edit out with PhotoshopCerebral3 to make her the focus. I had a lot of fun playing with the falling cards, I think that they spiral around her nicely. This is the only image that I did of James Jean where I edited almost nothing out of it. There were a few more branches in the corner, but I just didnt feel like redoing the WHOLE image so I decided to leave them out.

New Piece

Yeah, I need to draw in my sketchbook more, because, well, It's an assignment for my one drawing class, and it's due in like two weeks, so I'm gonna be drawing even more the next two weeks. It's been a while since I've just drawn to draw, and now I actually feel like drawing again. I kind of stopped for a while, well, unless I had to for a project or something.

I saw a design far more complex when I was at the tattoo shop. It had a similar kind of theme, only it was much more complex. They have paintings everywhere of tattoo inspired artwork, so while I was waiting for my appointment with My Denny's Guy, I had a very enjoyable time looking at all the artwork.

New Stuff

Yeah, I don't have any new progress on the bunny and easter looking one yet. Thats a project for next week. I do however have the finished project for my design 2 class. Now, to clear something up, I don't really like painting, so thats why the purple flower looks so fucked up. Other then that I really like it

OMG

I can't believe that I forgot about this blog for two months!!! Two months!! I think I'm gonna chalk it up to all thats been happening to me for so long. Well, thats gonna change, cause I'm gonna post some of my stuff up now. This is the beginning of a project that I'm doing in my basic drawing class. I am so far behind on this project that it's not even funny! I ended up missing the first day we had to work on this because I had to take a small trip somewhere, and then I misses the class before last nights because the security guards took me out beginning of that class and I was so shell shocked from what they told me that I couldn't focus on anything for the rest of that class. Or for that night even. But this is the project so far, and it is actually the first colored pencil project that I've done and am liking how it's going.I wish that I could have taken a picture where the colors could be a bit more at the brightness that they are on the paper, but hey, thats life. So I will update when I get this done.
This is a project I did for my Design 1 class last semester. It's a favorite of mine. I made it as a tattoo sign. Wait till I finish the project that I'm doing for that class now. Damn it looks good so far, and I'm not usually that proud of my designs.
I took this pic a while ago and made this screen saver for my computer. I think that with all thats been happening that teh phrase "que sera sera" Kind of fits and it kind of makes me feel better too. I colored the flowers myself in photoshop. It took forever but I like the look that I got.
I took this photo myself while at Oswego, visiting Heather. That was definetly the most beautiful sunset that I've ever seen. The words are a few lines from some of Kami's different poems. I think it's a compilation of lines from maybe three of her poems. This is another that I made as a desktop for my laptop.

Some New Art of Mine

This is one of my favorites. It's more of a sketch than anything but It's still a personal favorite of mine. The stock idea for the image was actually given to me by a close friend of mine, Ray, and I do thank him for the idea. This was drawn, yet again with various sized pigma micron pens. The text was done with a font titled, "Be Aggressive".
I loved making this. I drew the girl separate from the rest of the image. It took an approximate three strait hours, but I enjoyed the process. I drew her with sigma micron pens, pretty much every nib size that i own. The background i made with two different small scribble sketches that i scanned and put into photoshop, to then copy, skew, and multiply about the image for a very textured and complete sense of space. The color was also done with photoshop. After scanning in the image if the girl, i made more layers and messed with the layer styles to achieve the affect that you see here. The entire process I took to complete the process was about eight hours, stretched over two days. Please, I'm hoping for as much constructive critism of my work so be as blunt as you feel necessary.

This is an imalgum of two photographs that I took quite recently at the Clarksville Cemmatary. The pictures were taken with a Sony Cyber Shot Digital Camera. I realize that the final image is a bit emo but I hope that the more dramatic tones help to show that it is more of a retrospective piece rather than a "woe is me, I'm going to go cut myself" kind of feeling. After all, I'm not emo, I can merely appreciate and enjoy making art that employs a sence of self and what we see in ourselves, or in this case, also what we see in others. I hope that this can be viewed as a piece of art rather than an overemotional teenager that wears black nail polish and writes bad poetry to try and redeem oneself. Sorry if this seems like a bit of a rant, but in todays society with our many clicks and ways of labeling one another I sometimes feel the need to justify a piece of my work so that people do NOT automatically label me as something that I am not. Maybe I would not have to feel this way if the rest of my generation did not feel the need to label people, art and everything else in there view like a like an overly anal attentive prude with a label maker and an arsenal of highlighters. I'm afraid however that in speaking like this I do sound like a over dramatized "down with the system" Anarchy sign, all in black spike wearing eighteen year old with anger issues stemming from the fact that" Mommy and Daddy never said that they loved me" type of person, but I assure that I am not. I simply have a bad habit o digressing from what I was talking about and ranting on things whether people want to here them or not. I suggest if you have a problem with any of what i just said, or think that all of my posts are going to be brimming with this type of over done and overly abused views on my generation (which will barely ever be mentioned again) that you should probably just look at the pictures and ignore my words under each. Because if I'm willing to take this tiny little over walked step, what might I say next? And will it offend you?

This is the first installment of some of my new and original images and artwork. More will be on the way soon, I promise. As you can see, I enjoy blending more time tested and normal design techniques and many times blend them with more modern things with the help of computers and my favorite program, Photoshop. If you have questions on any of my projects or would be kind enough to leave some constructive criticism then please drop me a line on the comments and I shall do my best to reply post haste. Thank you for your time and wonderful company. And hey, maybe next time we can have tea and scones at my place?
